Role: Digital Marketing Consultant
Client: A social worker with a community focused on peer support groups and somatic practice resources. Assets to market included:

  • A nervous-system regulation course
  • A monthly membership community
  • A bi-weekly podcast
  • Guides for patients and caregivers suffering from medical trauma

Challenge

A social worker with a somatic practice and nervous system regulation business needed help with her social media presence. She wasn’t active on social media beyond sharing podcast clips and occasional carousel posts, and her goal was to grow the engagement on her posts.

Opportunities

  • Get a consistent posting schedule
  • Define content pillars to drive new subscribers
  • Align branding into cohesive templates and videos
  • Drive engagement through optimized captions and clear CTAs

Challenges

  • Branding wasn’t aligned in previous posts
  • No evergreen content was being used, and it wasn’t identified or tagged
  • The client wasn’t sure what to film and needed coaching on talking head videos

Approach

Phase 1: Preparation

  • Built a three-month growth engine strategy
    • Defined content pillars: somatic practices, nervous system education, peer support group information, and body reconnection tips
    • Created a content-batching guide for the client with simple scripts
    • Tagged evergreen content and built a library of evergreen content and B-roll clips
    • Created a rotation of old podcast clips that could be reused, tagged by pillar
  • Aligned social media branding with other online assets
    • Created 3 complimentary carousel templates
    • Defined brand color and font uses across digital assets
    • Created a stock image library
  • Oriented the client to the Rella platform
    • Previews
    • Approval process
    • Edit process
    • Linking all social media platforms
      • Instagram
      • TikTok
      • YouTube
      • Facebook
      • LinkedIn

Phase 2: Execution

  • Posted 5 times per week
    • 1 talking head reel
    • 1 podcast clip
    • 1 B roll reel
  • Posted daily stories
    • Resharing daily post
    • Somatic practice of the day
      • Short, quick explanations of a nervous system regulation practice that the viewer could do that moment
    • Clip from most recent podcast (3x per week)
  • Cross-posted across all platforms, minus LinkedIn

Outcome

Instagram

  • Subscriber increase of 7%
  • View increase of 61%
  • Engagement increase of 138%

TikTok

  • Growth to 724 subscribers (from 0)
  • 8.3% engagement rate
